EGA Hospital Charity Travelling Fellowship in Memory of Anne Boutwood

The EGA Hospital Charity Travelling Fellowship in Memory of Anne Boutwood supports international travel for UK postgraduate doctors in training in obstetrics and gynaecology.

Funded through the generosity of the EGA Hospital Charity and awarded in memory of Miss Anne Boutwood FRCOG, this fellowship provides £5,000 to facilitate travel for research, training or professional development. The award aims to enhance the recipients contribution to the speciality by broadening clinical and academic experience through international travel.

Prize

A prize of £5,000.

Previous projects funded have ranged from obstetrics work in Sierra Leone to biomedical engineering at Harvard. 

Eligibility

This Fellowship is awarded to a UK postgraduate doctor in training in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology. It is intended to support international travel that facilitates research or training for the purposes of personal development and to enhance the awardee’s contribution to the specialty of O&G.

Conditions

The award may only be used for the purposes outlined in your original application.
Travel must take place within twelve months of receiving the award.
The winner is required to submit a 1,000 word report within eight weeks of completion of the Fellowship describing their experiences and what they learned. There will also be an opportunity to hold a presentation of your Fellowship experience at one of our UCLH meetings, usually the Institute for Women's Health Annual Conference.
