It is with deep sadness that the College has learned of the passing of Professor Tim Draycott, MD, BSc, MBBS, FRCOG, immediate past Vice President of the College and a highly respected Consultant at Southmead Hospital and the University of Bristol.
Tim died peacefully on 24 November following a sudden illness.
Tim’s unwavering commitment to safer maternity care, his innovative leadership, and his extraordinary contributions to improving outcomes for women and babies globally were unparalleled. His dedication to his profession, coupled with his visionary approach to patient care, has left a profound and enduring legacy.
On behalf of everyone at the College, we extend our heartfelt sympathies to Tim’s family, friends, colleagues, and all those whose lives were touched by his work.
